CBT
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a practical, supportive approach that helps you better understand how your thoughts, emotions and behaviours interact and how small changes can make a real difference to how you feel day to day.
CBT is about helping you make sense of what’s been going on for you. Together, we look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck, unhelpful habits that have crept in over time, and ways of responding to difficult thoughts or situations that feel more balanced and manageable. You’ll learn tools you can use both in and outside of sessions, so therapy feels useful in real life, not just in the room.
CBT can be helpful if you’re feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, struggling with confidence, stress, sleep, motivation, or finding it hard to cope with life changes, health issues or relationship difficulties. Many people come to CBT wanting to learn different ways to manage their emotions that helps them feel more in control, steadier, and better able to handle what life throws at them.
If you’re new to therapy or unsure what to expect, CBT offers a clear, collaborative way of working. We go at your pace, focus on what matters to you, and build understanding gradually, there’s no pressure to “do it right” or have everything figured out from the start. The aim isn’t to change who you are, but to help you understand yourself better and feel more confident in how you respond to challenges.
