Sally Willan

Sally is a friendly, supportive therapist who works collaboratively with people to help them feel more balanced, confident and better able to cope with life’s challenges. With over a decade of experience working in NHS services, she has supported many people through anxiety, low mood, stress and the emotional impact of difficult life experiences.

Her approach is practical, compassionate and tailored to the individual. Sally draws on CBT and EMDR to help clients understand what’s been keeping them stuck and develop tools they can use in everyday life. Clients often value her calm, encouraging style and her ability to help things feel clearer, more manageable and less overwhelming.

Sally has specialist training in supporting people living with long-term health conditions and understands the emotional strain that ongoing physical health difficulties can bring. She works with clients to rebuild confidence, energy and a sense of control, helping life feel more liveable again.

She strongly believes in the connection between movement and mental wellbeing and practices what she promotes. Outside of work, Sally enjoys regular gym sessions and has a particular love of water and snow sports, gaining her snowboard instructor qualification in 2019. She also enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends, bringing a grounded, real-world perspective to her therapeutic work.

With Sally, you’ll find someone approachable, experienced and committed to helping you feel better, not just in sessions, but in everyday life too.

Leanne Alston

Leanne is a warm, down-to-earth therapist who works alongside people to help them feel calmer, more confident, and more like themselves again. Her experience working in mental health services over the past decade means she understands the pressures people face when life feels overwhelming.

Her approach is practical, collaborative and tailored to you. Leanne draws on CBT, EMDR and couples therapy, but sessions are less about labels and jargon and more about understanding what’s going on for you, what’s keeping you stuck, and how to move forward in a way that feels manageable. Clients often describe her as easy to talk to, supportive and clear, helping them make sense of things without feeling judged or analysed.

If you’re feeling nervous about starting therapy, or you’re not quite sure what to expect, you’re not alone. Many people come to therapy feeling unsure, apprehensive or worried about “saying the wrong thing”. Leanne is very used to working with people who are new to the process and takes time to help you feel at ease, going at your pace and answering questions along the way. You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong or have the right words, that’s something you can figure out together.

Leanne has specific training and experience supporting people living with long-term health conditions and the emotional impact these can bring, and she’s passionate about helping people reconnect with what matters to them, not just reducing symptoms, but improving day-to-day quality of life. She genuinely practises what she teaches, using the same tools and strategies in her own life to keep things realistic and grounded.

Outside the therapy room, Leanne loves being outdoors and staying active hiking, paddleboarding, or pottering in the garden. This connection to movement and nature often weaves into her therapeutic style and reflects Well Minds Psychological Therapy Service’s belief in Fresh Air, Strong Steps, Well Minds. With Leanne, you’ll find someone approachable, experienced and human and ready to support you to feel better.
